Wrapping is an art and part of a traditional Christmas.
At first GAE thought I was nuts and her kids thought I was gay, but I color coordinate Christmas present wrapping. Every year before Thanksgiving I (now we) pick two colors. This year is red and silver. Everyone bringing a gift to our house for Christmas Eve dinner must wrap his or her gifts with the color theme (i.e. Red paper with silver ribbon and bow, Silver paper with red ribbon and bow). Hues and paper patterns can vary, but not the colors.
We also coordinate the garland on the tree with the wrapping colors.
As for the environment, paper is biodegradable and is made out of farmed pine trees, so what’s the problem?
